Get to know the artists

“The Dreamer” by Niamh Maclennan, fuses gentle electric guitar with introspective lyrics. Niamh is a regular on the Edinburgh and Glasgow live circuit and from the remote but renowned Applecross peninsula in the North West Highlands of Scotland. Rising through the Irish showcasing scene is upbeat F3miii (pronounced Femi), the future-indie-funky producer and vocalist from Dublin with his single “LOSTWITHOUTMARIA”. The eclectic “Ode Two’ by South-East London’s six-piece jazz ensemble Tanhai Collective pulls from broken beat, house, hip-hop and dub influences.

North-west London’s Demae presents “Speechless” featuring slick production from the esteemed 10.4 Rog & Sam Crowe (Little Simz, Cleo Sol, Lianne La Havas) with mixing and mastering from Jorja Smith’s in-house engineer Prash “Engine Earz” Mistry. Bridging Milton Keynes to Glasgow are indie-rock trio Sub Violet with “Spinning”, while Citizen Papes, who is born and raised in Aberdeenshire and blends singing, songwriting and production in the electro-indie-pop “Gramophone”.

You may be familiar with Scottish producer Barry Can’t Swim, although our chosen track “Always Get Through To You” features emerging London-based producer and rapper Surya Sen, together creating a dance-floor groove with a soulful chorus and piano solo.

BINA, who has recently been mentored through WeTransfer’s “Drop School” by DJ Jyoti, delivers other-worldly visuals to accompany her neo-soul, jazz and distinctly London sound in her latest single “Dopamine”.
